I took a digital photo of an actual skull (actually, quite a few, at various angles), then digitally drew in the eyes, the textures on the skull, and blacked out the background. I usually do a lot of overdrawing on things just so they don't look like a hard photograph, and more like a handmade piece of art. Again thanks for your comment!
